We started by 3D-scanning a series of natural seed pods… a pinecone, magnolia, and acorn forms capturing their unique textures and organic curves in precise detail. Each scan was then enlarged and refined, smoothing imperfections and enhancing features so the shapes could hold their presence at a much larger scale.
From the digital models, full-size foam forms were milled, creating accurate physical versions of each sculpture.

The Process
Once the foam structures were complete, layers of clay were added and shaped by hand, reintroducing texture, gesture, and subtle details that connect the final work back to its natural origins.
The finished clay pieces were then given to our partners at Hefestus Fine Arts, where their team carried the sculptures through the full bronze casting process using the lost wax method.
